Sarah W: Mars Area High School Senior Photos at Mellon Park

Meet Sarah! She's a part of the Mars High School class of 2023! We had such a beautiful evening for her photos at Mellon Park for her senior photos. I was especially excited to see that there were still some beautiful leaves and fall color to work with... as well as some gorgeous light! Early November light is always so pretty and golden, and the images I take during the first week of November always end up being some of my favorites!

Sarah, thank you so much for the honor of taking these photos for you! Congratulations on your senior year!!

Armando V: Mars High School Senior Photos in the Strip District

Meet Armando! He is a senior at Mars High School this year graduating with the class of 2023! He hopes to study mechanical engineering post high school and chose one of my favorite city locations for his senior photos... The Strip District! We had so much fun channeling all the city vibes during his senior photos!

Reasons why I love the Strip District for photos: there are a lot of different urban backdrops within a short walking distance! Some are a bit more grungy, some are a bit more polished, but all of them have those city vibes for those looking for that in their photos!

AND there is an amazing view of the city at a nearby parking garage… probably my favorite view of the city for photos!

Congrats on your senior year Armando!

Logan D: Franklin Regional High School Senior Photos at Mellon Park

Meet Logan, who is graduating with the class of 2023! He plays football and loves Chipotle. I photographed his brother just a few months ago (who graduated with the class of 2022!) - it is always so much fun to work with the same families again!

And speaking of families, Logan's came along for some updated family photos before his session began! And they stayed with us for the rest of his session, which made the evening all the more fun. Stay tuned for some photos of the family coming soon!

Congratulations on your senior year, Logan!

Sydney’s session took place during one of the rainiest weeks in October! But thankfully, we were able to bypass the rain and get some amazing photos in one of my favorite locations! The setting was perfect, her outfits were so perfect for fall… I love when everything comes together!

Sydney is a Seneca Valley senior and a dedicated field director/drum major! She loves science, and hopes to study within the medical field post high school. And she's just an all around sweetheart!

Congrats on your senior year, Sydney!!

Oh Pittsburgh, with its ever changing forecast and unpredictability.

I had the pleasure of taking Greg's senior photos around the North Side & North Shore a few weeks ago, and while it unexpectedly rained for the majority of his session, we were still able to get some great shots to celebrate his senior year!

It's been such an honor to work with this great family throughout the years (Grant and George) - I had the pleasure of photographing Greg's two brothers before him! It's hard to believe that he is the last of the siblings!

Congratulations on your senior year, Greg!

Sophie W: Strip District & North Shore Senior Photos

We braved all of the elements last night during Sophie's session, but neither wind nor rain could keep us from taking her photos!

We started out in the Strip District with some colorful steps and grungy walls, then to the top of a parking garage with the prettiest city view, then headed over to the North Shore... and when the clouds finally parted there, we were greeted with a rainbow! A precious reminder of God's promise to the world - and a reminder to me that God is in control of the weather and all elements... and all of our days!

Sophie is a North Catholic senior who hopes to study business & marketing post-high school! She loves Mexican food and played softball for many, many years!

Congrats on your senior year, Sophie!

Katie P: Mellon Park Senior Photos

Mellon Park has been quite the popular choice this year for senior photos! With its gorgeous flowers and architecture, along with lots of different picturesque spots within a very short walking distance, it’s a great spot for senior photos - possibly one of the most popular in Pittsburgh!

Because of its popularity, Mellon Park is usually full of photographers. Like, anywhere from 10 to 20 photo sessions going on at one time! But Katie’s session took place in the morning, which meant that we had the park almost entirely to ourselves… so we had our choice of all of the best spots! Even though it was super crazy early, it was SO worth it to be able to get these gorgeous images for Katie!

Katie is a senior at Seneca Valley who is graduating in 2022! She has the most gorgeous curly hair, and some mad braiding skills… which you’ll see below! Yes.. part of her wardrobe change was a hair change, which she did all on her own, without a mirror! That takes some serious skill.

Congratulations on your senior year, Katie!!

Pittsburgh Senior Photographer: Senior Photo Highlights 2020

Another year, another highlight post for the seniors I’ve photographed in 2020! Some represented the Class of 2020, some the Class of 2021 - but all were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how many senior sessions I would get to photograph this year with the ongoing pandemic - but, thankfully, it’s easy to photograph people outdoors with long lenses, even in the midst of so many changes and regulations! 😉To all of the parents and seniors who still trusted me to capture this season for you: THANK YOU! I really can’t say it (or type it!) enough. Thank you for letting me be a part of this year with you! And a huge congratulations again to the seniors and parents of seniors who made it through this crazy year!

If you are a Class of 2021 senior who has yet to schedule their photos, or a Class of 2022 senior who is looking to have their photos taken, feel free to reach out via the contact tab above, or directly at jhidingerphotography@gmail.com. I’d be more than happy to give you some additional information!

A suit never goes out of style - and really, it’s the perfect choice for a senior session at Hartwood! Not only is Anthony a super down-to-earth, kind guy - he’s also a total natural in front of the camera! And even though there were tons of kids having their prom photos taken around us, he never let it phase him - and I’m so excited to share a few favorites from his session! Congratulations on your senior year, Anthony!

Adam G: Butler Airport Senior Photos

Adam’s senior session had a first for me in the near 10 years I’ve been taking senior photos - an airplane on a runway! Adam is heading into his senior year of school, with hopes of becoming a commercial pilot post-graduation! It only seemed fitting that we incorporate the airplane he’s been learning to fly on into his shoot. A huge thanks to the Butler Airport for letting us use the runway for some shots!

Before heading over to the airport, however, we spent a little time at Succop Nature Park, just down the road! Their new modern-looking barn made for a great architectural backdrop for the first part of Adam’s session.

Congratulations on your senior year, Adam!
